Reprioritize

It has been an especially tough time right now with the real estate market being the way it is. I am living off of my American Express card and the holidays are too close and I'm feeling very dismal. I had a talk with my boss the other day about the market and how it's scaring me, to the point where I have been thinking of looking for a new job. Being the age he is, he said he's gone through two of these down times and they are tough and they last longer than we would like, but it's just a matter of reprioritizing your life and expenses. That's something I took to heart, because I am always too anxious and always need a fast fix in many aspects of my life. I tend to stress out about money, but I have to realize that I can always make money and that the times that I'm worrying about it and not spending it with the family is just a loss for me. There is always a way to get through tough financial times. I remember how scared I was when Jay and I bought our first house, but we got through that okay. We are lucky that we have the support of our families who if times got really bad would open up their homes and probably their pocketbooks to us. But I don't think it will ever get to that point...I hope!
