Jay asked me to come watch him "play" at Jiu Jitsu class (that's what they say when they spar.."Let's Play!")...he has been taking classes since the beginning of the year, and I have only had the opportunity to watch him a few times. We watch from a glass room upstairs, so I'm really unable to hear what's going on. Luckily there was a guy sitting with me that normally takes classes, but because of a work injury, hasn't been sparring for about a month now. When I told him I was Jay's wife, he instantly became my personal play-by-play announcer. He began by saying, "Jay is really good...he should be getting his belt very soon." Once Jay started ro
lling with another guy, I started to hear words like "blood choke" and "armbar", I knew nothing of what he was speaking, so I just nodded as if I agreed. I want to be supportive of Jay. He is really into Jiu Jitsu and he is so motivated. I asked him if his goal was to do a tournament since he used to wrestle in high school. At this time, he doesn't know what he wants to do with it, he's just enjoying the ride! His instructor, Paulo Fernando, is from Brazil and is great...he's the one I spoke with when I bought Jay his first month's lesson for Christmas. He just recently became a US Citizen and is respected by many. Even though Jay hurt his ribs a few weeks ago, he only missed a few classes and got right back into it....Very proud of my hubby.

go jay!
Wow! Also a great work out!!! Inspires me to want to get back into martial arts. :)
I think you would look better in a competition thong instead of a Gi...preferrably hot pink, not blue with BJ Penn written on the string portion.
